Caring for Elders in Rhode Island.
You don’t need to feel alone in caring for an elder. With Caregiver Homes of Rhode Island’s community-based program, you’ll be able to provide high-quality, 24-hour, care at home.
We’ll help make it possible for you, as a family member or friend, to become the primary in-home caregiver by providing you with the support and financial assistance you need. Daily stipend amounts are determined by level of care and the Rhode Island Department of Human Services RIte @ Home regulations. Stipends are non-taxable and non-reportable.
The Caregiver Homes model of Structured Family Caregiving is recognized as RIte @ Home in Rhode Island.
For many elders, the option to stay at home with familiar surroundings, routines and people is not only the preferred choice, but also one that can provide short and long-term health benefits. And many of our caregivers also find that once they have the training and support they need, caring for a loved one at home is a source of personal pride and satisfaction.
Rhode Island is a state that also provides support in this model of care to persons with disabilities and their caregivers. Learn more here.
