E. Byron Hensley Jr.

Founder/Chairman of the Board

 E. Byron Hensley, Jr. founded Seniorlink with a dual objective: to provide elders with the choice to receive care at home and to support family members in providing care for elders. The business model came from The MENTOR Network, which Byron founded in 1983 to deliver support services to families caring for troubled teens and developmentally disabled adults. MENTOR now operates in 33 states and generates more than $1.0 billion in annual revenues.  Byron first recognized the need for greater care options when he witnessed the loss of independence suffered by his grandfather when he was moved into a nursing home. His resulting belief—that every person has the right to age with dignity, including the option to live out his or her life at home—was the impetus for Seniorlink's founding in 2000.
